Medical Building, FK Online News – The Faculty of Medicine (FK) of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta commemorated its 21st Dies Natalis on Sunday (17/5/2026). The celebration served as a moment of reflection on FK UIN Jakarta’s journey in developing excellent, adaptive medical education integrated with Islamic values since its establishment on May 17, 2005.

Carrying the theme “LIFE: Leading Innovation for Future Excellence, 21 Years of Nurturing Life,” this year’s Dies Natalis represents FK UIN Jakarta’s spirit to continue promoting innovation and strengthening the quality of medical education amid the increasingly dynamic challenges of healthcare development.

Over its 21-year academic journey, FK UIN Jakarta has continued to grow into one of the medical education institutions within State Islamic Higher Education Institutions (PTKIN) that actively contributes to producing professional doctors with integrity and strong social awareness. In the field of student affairs, FK UIN Jakarta students have also actively achieved academic and non-academic accomplishments at both national and international levels. Community service activities, research, scientific seminars, and involvement in public health issues continue to be an important part of shaping medical students who are humane and responsive to community needs.

The spirit of “21 Years of Nurturing Life” is not only interpreted as the institution’s age milestone, but also as FK UIN Jakarta’s commitment to nurturing hope, building a better future for healthcare, and producing future doctors who can make meaningful contributions to society, the nation, and Indonesia’s healthcare sector.

Currently, FK UIN Jakarta not only offers the Medical Study Program and the Medical Profession Program at the undergraduate level, but also continues to develop postgraduate education through the Master’s Program in Biomedical Sciences.

In addition, FK UIN Jakarta has also opened specialist medical education programs, including the Pulmonology Specialist Program and the Obstetrics and Gynecology Specialist Program, positioning FK UIN Jakarta as one of the PTKIN institutions actively developing specialist medical education in Indonesia.
