Faculty of Medicine UIN Jakarta Officially Opens ISMKI National LKMM 2026 to Strengthen Medical Student Leadership

Tadjudin, FK Online News — The Faculty of Medicine (FK), UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, officially opened the National Leadership and Student Management Training (LKMM) of the Indonesian Medical Student Senate Association (ISMKI) 2026 at the M.K. Tadjudin Auditorium on Thursday, 5 February 2026. The national event is scheduled to run for four days until Sunday, 8 February 2026.

The Faculty of Medicine UIN Jakarta was entrusted to host the National LKMM as part of the institution’s commitment to strengthening the leadership and managerial capacity of medical students at the national level.

Vice President for Project Development (VPPD) of ISMKI, Putri Malahayati, stated that the National LKMM is part of the ISMKI National Collaboration program focusing on the development of medical student leadership. The program equips participants with managerial knowledge and adaptive, collaborative leadership skills to face the evolving dynamics of the healthcare sector.

“The National LKMM serves as a platform to strengthen leadership and management competencies among medical students while fostering inter-university collaboration under a shared vision of serving the nation,” she said.

The ISMKI National LKMM 2026 is attended by 55 medical students from various universities across Indonesia. Throughout the program, participants will engage in a structured series of activities including a stadium generale, Focus Group Discussions (FGD), plenary sessions, visits to government institutions and non-governmental organizations (GO–NGO), as well as lectures delivered by national figures in the fields of health, education, and leadership.

Representing the faculty leadership, the Vice Dean for General Administration of the Faculty of Medicine UIN Jakarta, Dr. dr. Erike Anggraini Suwarsono, M.Pd., Sp.MK., emphasized that LKMM plays an important role in shaping students’ leadership character. The program not only focuses on organizational management but also trains decision-making, communication skills, and responsibility in carrying out leadership roles.

“LKMM is not only about management, but also about developing the ability to make decisions, communicate effectively, and take responsibility in managing organizations. These competencies are essential for students both during their studies and after graduation,” she explained.

The implementation of ISMKI National LKMM 2026 at the Faculty of Medicine UIN Jakarta is part of a broader initiative to develop medical students’ soft skills, particularly in leadership and organizational management, while strengthening networks among medical students from universities across Indonesia.
