FK UIN Jakarta Socializes BPJS Healthcare Facility Transfer Procedure for Students
M.K. Tadjudin Auditorium, FK Online News – The Faculty of Medicine (FK) of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta held a socialization session on the procedure for transferring BPJS Kesehatan healthcare facilities for students as part of efforts to strengthen health services at Harun Nasution Auditorium on Monday (18/5/2026).
The socialization was delivered by the Head of the UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta Clinic, dr. Buyung Berli. In his explanation, students were encouraged to use the Mobile JKN service as the main platform for transferring their first-level healthcare facility (FKTP) to the UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta Clinic.
dr. Berli explained that the healthcare facility transfer process can be carried out independently through the Mobile JKN application, which students can download on their respective mobile phones. For students who do not yet have an account, registration can be completed using their Population Identification Number (NIK) or BPJS Kesehatan card number.
“Students actually only need to download Mobile JKN on their own mobile phones. If they already have an account, it will be easier; they only need to log in and transfer their healthcare facility,” he explained.
He added that after the account has been successfully registered, students can directly view the healthcare facility currently registered in the BPJS Kesehatan system. After that, students only need to select the healthcare facility change menu and change their FKTP to the UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta Clinic.
“If students want to transfer their healthcare facility to the UIN Clinic, they only need to click UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Clinic, then submit or approve it. The process is quick. If they already have a Mobile JKN account, it only takes around one minute,” he added.
During the socialization, it was also explained that several special conditions may become obstacles in the healthcare facility transfer process, one of which applies to Contribution Assistance Recipients (PBI). Students with PBI status generally cannot transfer their healthcare facility because their BPJS contributions are covered by the regional government of their respective hometowns.
According to dr. Berli, students with PBI status can still use healthcare services in their hometowns in accordance with the applicable provisions of the BPJS Kesehatan system.
In addition to explaining the healthcare facility transfer mechanism, this socialization also provided an understanding of the benefits of BPJS Kesehatan membership for students. With healthcare facilities integrated within the UIN Jakarta environment, students can receive first-level healthcare services at the UIN Clinic before obtaining further referrals to hospitals if needed.
“If there is a need to be referred to a specialist doctor, students can be referred to Syarif Hidayatullah Hospital, which has already cooperated with BPJS,” he said.
He also explained that various basic healthcare services, such as general examinations, minor health complaints, and health check-ups, can be handled directly at the UIN Jakarta Clinic. Meanwhile, for further and specialist treatment, students can be directed to referral hospitals within the UIN Jakarta healthcare service ecosystem.
