Strengthening Ramadan Solidarity, Faculty of Medicine UIN Jakarta Distributes Eid Packages to Students and Mosque Caretakers
Medical Building, FK Online News – The Faculty of Medicine (FK) of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta organized the distribution of Eid packages for students and mosque caretakers (marbot) within the campus. This initiative is part of a series of Ramadan programs aimed at fostering compassion and togetherness, especially for students who are unable to return home for the holiday.
The program is included in the Ramadan activities at the Faculty of Medicine UIN Jakarta, which feature various religious and social events such as Qur’an recitation (tadarus), short religious lectures (kultum), communal iftar, and Islamic studies sessions.
One of the students, Talita Fidelita, shared that the Ramadan programs organized by the campus have provided many benefits for students.
“Alhamdulillah, during this Ramadan, the Faculty of Medicine UIN Jakarta has organized a campus Ramadan program consisting of various activities, including online and offline Qur’an recitation, midday religious talks, free iftar gatherings, and a grand Islamic lecture themed on integrating medicine and Islam,” she said.
In addition, the distribution of Eid packages has been particularly beneficial for students living away from home. Altaf Yumna expressed that the assistance has greatly helped them during Ramadan while living in a boarding house.
“Alhamdulillah, when I received this, it really helped me while staying in my boarding house,” they stated.
A similar sentiment was shared by another student, Sayyef Attaqi, who admitted feeling sad about not being able to celebrate Eid with family. However, the campus program brought a sense of joy.
“It feels sad not being able to gather with family this Ramadan—not being able to celebrate Eid together, share meals like lontong, or perform Eid prayers together. But Alhamdulillah, the campus provided this package, which brings me happiness,” he said.
He also hopes that similar programs can continue and reach more students in the future.
“With this program, Alhamdulillah, it helps us—especially students—in increasing our motivation to compete in doing good deeds,” he added.
Through this initiative, the Faculty of Medicine UIN Jakarta not only provides material support but also fosters a sense of togetherness and care within the campus community. The distribution of Eid packages serves as a tangible expression of the faculty’s concern for students spending Ramadan away from their families, as well as an appreciation for mosque caretakers who help sustain religious activities on campus.
