The Faculty of Medicine at UIN Jakarta Holds Its 56th Medical Oath Ceremony; Five Young Doctors Officially Begin Serving the Community
M.K. Tadjudin Auditorium, FK Online News – The Faculty of Medicine at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta celebrated the 56th Doctors’ Oath Ceremony on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at the M.K. Tadjudin Auditorium. During this event, five young physicians officially took their oath, marking the beginning of their commitment to the healthcare profession.
The ceremony was attended by university and faculty leaders, hospital representatives, and institutional partners. Present were the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. H. Ahmad Tholabi Kharlie, the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs of the Faculty of Medicine, Dr. dr. Fika Ekayanti, the Vice Dean for Administration, Planning, and Finance, Dr. dr. Erike Anggraini Suwarsono, and the Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Cooperation, and Alumni, drg. Laifa Annisa Hendarmin.
Also in attendance were the Head of the Doctoral Professional Study Program, dr. Risahmawati, the Head of the Medical Study Program, dr. Marita Fadhilah, representatives from the Directorate General of Islamic Education at the Ministry of Religious Affairs, representatives of RSUP Fatmawati, and members of the Muslim Doctor Alumni Association of UIN Jakarta.
Dr. H. Basnang Said, Director of Diniyah Education and Islamic Boarding Schools at the Directorate General of Islamic Education, was represented by Dr. Mahrus El-Mawa, Head of Sub-directorate for Mahad Aly Education. Also present were RSUP Fatmawati Training and Education Team Manager dr. Dewi Apriyanti and the Deputy Chair of the Muslim Doctor Alumni Association, dr. Aditiya Bagus Wicaksono.
In his speech, Prof. Ahmad Tholabi Kharlie reminded the new doctors that their profession carries not only academic recognition but also moral and humanitarian responsibilities to serve society.
“You will encounter spaces of anxiety, illness, and many responsibilities ahead,” he stated. He emphasized that UIN Jakarta alumni are expected to be role models in society, upholding the institution’s reputation through professional, empathetic, and integrity-driven healthcare services.
Similarly, Dr. Mahrus El-Mawa highlighted the importance of integrating knowledge as a hallmark of UIN and other Indonesian PTKIN institutions. He emphasized inclusivity in education, especially equal learning opportunities for women.
“Our principle is that women can learn and have the same right to education. Learning is not limited to universities; everyday experiences also provide valuable knowledge,” he explained.
Dr. dr. Fika Ekayanti noted that Indonesia’s medical field has become increasingly inclusive, with greater participation of women in the medical profession, reflecting positively on FK UIN Jakarta’s contributions to healthcare.

With the 56th Doctors’ Oath Ceremony, FK UIN Jakarta reaffirmed its commitment to producing physicians who are academically excellent, professionally competent, and grounded in humanitarian values, integrity, and dedication to public service.
